Twenty year old Jonathan Custead has been raising and breeding reptiles for 10 years and has over 100 animals in his collection! Eight years ago, at age 12, Jonathan began sharing his knowledge of reptiles with others in educational and entertaining presentations. He has offered his program at schools, civic organizations, special fund-raising events, and sport shows, with over 100 public presentations under his belt.

Jonathan introduces the audience to exotic and dangerous reptiles from all over the world. From the "safe side" of a 4 foot high Plexiglas arena, kids of all ages will be amazed to see this young man handle some of the world's largest breeds of snakes - an anaconda, a reticulated python, and a Burmese python! They will hold their breath as he goes face to face with deadly venomous snakes such as a King Cobra, Black Mamba, and rattle snakes! He brings 10 to 15 specimens to each program.

The highlight of his program is Lassie, a 7 foot alligator. Lassie was less than 2 feet when Jonathan acquired her, and they have grown up together.

Utilizing Lassie and a 4 foot Nile crocodile, Jonathan describes the differences between alligators and crocs. He shares interesting facts about many of the animals he works with, including natural habitat, breeding and feeding habits. And of course anecdotes about close calls!

Jonathan always packs the house and provides the audience an exciting time! His shows are interactive, with questions welcomed. The audience will be invited to view many of the animals up close after the show, and may have the chance to touch certain specimens. Audience members are always eager to return to his program time and time again.
